Ohio State’s 2020 recruiting class is up to 21 members after Arizona safety Lathan Ransom committed to the Buckeyes on Tuesday.

A four-star safety from Salpointe Catholic in Tucson, he is the No. 76 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings and the No. 4 player at his position.

His other offers included LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Texas.

Adding Ransom bumped Ohio State’s class to No. 2 in the country after it was just No. 3 in the Big Ten entering the summer.

Only defending national champion Clemson has a better class at this point in the year according to 247Sports.

He is the 13th player in the class of 2020 to commit to the Buckeyes since May 31, a run that started with Julian Fleming, the nation’s No. 1 receiver prospect.

The class currently consists of seven players from Ohio, two from Arizona, two from Michigan, two from New Jersey and one from California, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.
