2019 recruit picks Georgia over Dayton, Kansas State

Dayton has two scholarships open in 2019 class

Toumani Camara, a four-star recruit in the class of 2019, picked the Georgia Bulldogs over the Dayton Flyers and Kansas State, announcing his verbal commitment Monday on Twitter.

Dayton, Kansas State and Georgia were his final three choices, according to a report by Dan McDonald on Sunday.

Camara, a 6-foot-6 forward, visited Dayton in September and posted a photo to Instagram of him wearing a Dayton uniform.

“I started from the bottom,” he wrote. “I done come a long ways ... staying humble. I remember all them long days.”

Camara ranks 103rd in the class of 2019, according to 247Sports.com. He attends Chaminade Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Fla., and is originally from Belgium.

Camara narrowed his list to seven schools in September. Dayton offered Camara a scholarship in April. He’s one of a number of 2019 recruits Dayton has pursued. UD has two scholarships open in the class and has not received a commitment from a 2019 recruit.
