It is not uncommon for Yellow Springs restaurants to take time off in the winter.

The Winds Cafe, nearby at 215 Xenia Ave., closed for its annual two-week winter break after the new year.

That restaurant is now operating as normal and participated in Miami Valley Restaurant Association’s just-finished Winter Restaurant Week.
