Boeing has been awarded a not-to-exceed $40 million modification to a previously awarded contract for production of infrared search and track systems, the DoD said.
This modification provides for the production of six more search-and-track ship sets. Work will be performed in St. Louis and Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be complete by Oct. 31, 2022.

This modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $249.7 million, the DoD said. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, at Wright-Patterson, is the contracting activity.
In California, JASR Systems has been awarded an $8.1 million contract for research and development work.
This contract provides for the development of chip-scale optical phased arrays and LIDAR — Light Detection and Ranging systems.
Work will be performed in California and is expected to be complete by Nov. 1, 2020.
This award is the result of a competitive acquisition and just one offer was received, according to the DoD.
Air Force Research Laboratory, also based at Wright-Patterson, is the contracting activity.
The center of Air Force research and logistics work, Wright-Patterson has a total economic impact of $15.54 billion on the Dayton area, according to a recent Dayton Development Coalition study.
