Orena Dunn, age 96, of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. She was born on March 18, 1928 in Miller's Creek, KY to the late Arch and Nora (Tipton) Brandenburg. Orena enjoyed a career as an award winning caregiver at Laurelwood Assisted Living until her retirement at age 78. She liked to sew, garden and pick berries, cook for everyone, and she loved her grandkids. Orena is survived by her children, Raymond Dunn and Ronald Dunn (Suzie Bordewisch); grandchildren, Bryan, Tina, Jeremy, David, Travis, Rachel, Makenna, and Michaele; and a slew of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren that would populate a small state. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Jane Combs; 6 brothers, and 6 sisters, making her the last surviving sibling. She lived to take care of others, no task was too great. She was the family rock and the best of us all! Contributions in Orena's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Marine Corps Veterans, The Salvation Army, or Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, 508 E. Linden Ave. Miamisburg, OH 45342. A celebration of Orena's life will be at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg, OH.
