This was not an ordinary day at Walmart.
Police said a woman practiced karate moves in the parking lot of a Wisconsin store while her son was naked inside the store and her dog was roaming free, WTMJ reported.
Lisa Smith, 46, and her son, Benny Vann, 25, were arrested by Eau Claire police at the store Thursday, the television station reported. Smith was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and misdemeanor bail jumping. Vann was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct and retail theft. The dog, named Bo, was caught by police officers and brought to the Humane Society, WTMJ reported.
According to a news release from the Eau Claire Police Department, officers responded at 8:30 p.m. for a retail theft in progress at Walmart, WEAU reported. They found Smith in the entryway of the store, screaming and trying to catch her dog. She allegedly began pulling store displays apart and put them in her cart, WMTJ reported. When asked to leave, Smith performed karate moves in the parking lot, police said.
Bo allegedly grabbed a box of cornbread muffin mix and tried to leave the store, the television station reported. Smith was arrested at this point and allegedly fought with officers, police said.
Meanwhile, police said Vann had removed his clothes in the back of the store, exposing himself to customers, WQOW reported.
Vann was riding a scooter and allegedly refused to stop when approached by police, the radio station reported. He allegedly attempted to run over one officer but was stopped and arrested, WTMJ reported.
