A tiger seen wearing a collar and leash while wandering around a Texas city was captured by police Thursday afternoon.
Officers in Conroe, Texas, a city 40 miles north of Houston, were working to identify the tiger's owner Thursday night.
The Conroe Police Department started getting reports of the lone tiger around 11:50 a.m. Thursday, according to The Associated Press. She was spotted on Coral Cove Pass, near Longmire and League Line, police said.
Animal control officers found and captured her without incident.
She had a collar with a leash attached. Police told The Associated Press the tiger appeared to be tame.
Officers told the wire service if the tiger and her owner live in city limits, the tiger would have to be moved because of Thursday's incident.
