Police: Florida man unleashes salsa jar 'missile' in road rage incident

A man was charged with "throwing a deadly missile" after hurling an empty glass salsa jar at another vehicle in an apparent road-rage incident, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The incident started Sunday when Jason Michael Drew, 42, tried to merge onto a state road in a Ford pickup, troopers said.
The victim, who was not identified, was driving in the same direction in a Nissan Altima, FHP said.
Drew believed the driver of the Altima was purposefully trying to keep him from merging when she crossed a solid white line, investigators said.
The man also said the other driver tried run him off the road, which is why he grabbed an empty glass salsa jar and allegedly flung it at the Altima, FHP said.

Responding troopers found a box of empty salsa jars in Drew's vehicle.
Drew was arrested and charged with throwing a deadly missile at an occupied vehicle and criminal mischief/property damage.
It was unclear if he has an attorney.
