Patchy fog possible; weather heats up into weekend

Skies will clear overnight, but it will remain muggy with patchy fog possible toward morning. Temperatures will fall into the upper 60s by daybreak, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said.

Friday: Expect a good deal of sunshine with some scattered clouds in the afternoon. It will be warmer and muggy with highs approaching 90 degrees. There is a slight chance for a pop-up storm late in the day.

Saturday: Expect partly cloudy skies along with hot and humid conditions. There is a slight chance for a pop-up, late-day storm. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

Sunday: Scattered storms will be likely, a few could be strong. Otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the middle 80s.

Monday: It will be warm but with lower humidity under partly cloudy skies. Highs will be near 80 degrees.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast with seasonable temperatures in the lower 80s.
