Severe storms, damaging winds possible tonight; Flash Flood Watch tomorrow and Tuesday

There is a Flash Flood Watch in effect for the Miami Valley starting Monday, May 18 from 8 a.m. until Tuesday, May 19 at 8 p.m.

Strong to severe storms are possible this evening, the National Weather Service reported. Damaging winds are expected to be the primary severe weather threat.

The storms will likely continue through tomorrow with more isolated severe storms possible Monday afternoon. More damaging winds are expected.

Today’s temperatures will be warm, with highs reaching the lower 80s and lows reaching the lower 60s. Showers are likely in the morning and the chance of a thunderstorm will go up in the afternoon.

The rain will not let up tomorrow. There is a chance of more thunderstorms and showers Monday morning and afternoon. Temperatures will be slightly cooler, with highs reaching around 70 degrees and lows reaching the mid 50s. Showers are likely after midnight.

Highs on Tuesday will reach the mid 60s. The chance of showers continues into the evening and we will see lows in the lower 50s. The Flash Flood warning will last until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
