Missing Endangered Adult Alert canceled after Portage County man found safe

A Missing Endangered Adult Alert has been canceled after a 79-year-old Deerfield man was found safe.

A 79-year-old Portage County, Ohio, man who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease is the subject of a Missing Endangered Adult Alert.

Virgil Yeager left his residence in the city of Deerfield at noon today and hasn’t returned, according to a release from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

Yeager stands 6 feet 2 inches, weighs 185 pounds and has white hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing black slippers, a white T-shirt and black or blue jogging shorts.

He may be driving a silver 2009 Buick Lucerne with Ohio plates FRA1346.

Anyone who spots Yeager or the vehicle is urged to call 911 or the Ohio Attorney General Missing Persons Unit at 1-866-693-9171.
