Sinclair Community College is partnering with the Omega Development Corp. to establish the Hope Center for Families.
The Hope Center will be a multipurpose facility to provide services that help revitalize nearby neighborhoods with income stability, health and safety and student readiness, according to Sinclair.
The new center will be located at the former United Theological Seminary at 1800 Harvard Blvd. in Dayton.
Sinclair’s board of trustees recently approved a resolution allowing the administration to negotiate and eventually execute a 10-year lease for classroom space and other space that will be used for workforce development and service learning, according to Sinclair.
Sinclair will also work with Omega to find ways to offer college-credit and non-credit courses at the center, to create internships for Sinclair students, provide community health screenings and experiences for Sinclair’s early childhood education program.
