Sun captured in ultra-HD glory by NASA

NASA released a 30-minute Ultra-HD video of the sun called “Thermonuclear Art.” The Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) captured this amazing footage, including images of the Sun in 10 different wavelengths, each highlighting a different temperature of solar material.

NASA says the video “presents the nuclear fire of our life-giving star in intimate detail, offering new perspective into our own relationships with grand forces of the solar system.”

It took a team of specialists about ten hours to create one minute of footage, according to NASA.

Go ahead, bask in the sun.
