Rapid Fired Pizza opens 6th location today; 25 more coming

Rapid Fired Pizza — living up to its name once again — will open its 6th location today, Aug. 15.

The newest restaurant for the fast-growing Kettering-based chain is located at 2815 Elida Road in Lima, Ohio. It’s the first franchise location for the husband-and-wife team of Ross and Elisha Wiley of Lima. Ross Wiley, a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, is the nephew of Rapid Fired Pizza co-founder Ray Wiley, and Elisha Wiley is a former manager of a Starbucks Coffee shop, according to a release.

Rapid Fired Pizza opened its first restaurant in late 2015 in Washington Twp. and operates other new restaurants in Fairborn, Sugarcreek Twp., Huber Heights and Springfield. Additional locations are in various stages of development in Troy, Englewood, Kettering, Beavercreek, Bowling Green, Westerville, and Montgomery in northern Cincinnati.

Ray Wiley told this news outlet he anticipates 25 will be in various stages of development by March.

Rapid Fired Pizza restaurants have a quick-service concept, utilizing a serving line in which customers pick out the toppings for their 11-inch thin-crust or 9-inch pan pizza. Customers can choose from eight sauces, eight cheeses, more than 30 toppings, and 14 dipping sauces to build their pizza. The pie is then cooked to order in just under three minutes in a high-temperature oven.
