Strong winds and rain arrive tonight

Rain chances will drop starting in the evening and fall away around nightfall, and clouds will also break up overnight, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Tonight will be cold, with temperatures dropping to around 38 degrees. The NWS has issued a Frost Advisory, in effect across the area from 2 to 9 a.m. Friday.

Friday we will see sunny skies, but despite this temperatures will only reach up to 58 degrees.

Friday night temperatures are expected to dip a little lower to around 34 degrees, prompting a frost advisory again. That temperature drop will lead to areas of frost developing after 4 a.m. that are expected to clear by around 9 a.m. on Saturday.

On Saturday skies will again be clear, with highs rising slightly higher to around 61 degrees.

Clouds will slowly gather throughout the day, continuing to do so through much of the night.

Overnight on Saturday, temperatures will be around 45 degrees.
