5 questions: Nancy Wilson on the 18th Radiothon

Why is it important to you? Dayton Children’s is important to everyone in the Miami Valley. We’re lucky to have a state-of-the-art children’s hospital right in our backyard so families don’t have to drive for hours to get the best care for their loved ones. Radiothon is especially important to me to remind folks Children’s is a happy good place. Kids get better here.

How many years have you been part of Radiothon? K99.1FM has been hosting the Cares for Kids Radiothon for the past 18 years!

How can people help or get involved? The best way to get involved is to become a Miracle Maker by calling 1-888-746-5437 and donating just $10 a month. Or you can go online at k99online.com And keep listening!

Do you have a favorite Radiothon memory? There are so many memories and so many kids who have gone from being patients to dear friends. Radiothon has become a reunion for former Ambassadors to come back and see their hospital “family.” But the check presentations at the end are the best, where we can proudly tell everyone what money was donated by our K99.1FM listeners to keep Dayton Children’s the best hospital ever for kids!

And fact-checking: This is the 18th annual Radiothon to benefit Dayton Children’s Hospital. Nancy Wilson and Frye Guy are broadcasting from Dayton Children’s from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 18-20. People can donate by calling 888-746-5437. Check out more content at k99online.com/s/radiothon
