U.S. Sen. Rob Portman will tour Central State University Friday afternoon to meet with university leaders and students about college affordability.
The Ohio Republican is scheduled to begin his tour at 3 p.m. at the university located in Wilberforce in Greene County.
Portman plans to discuss issues important to the higher education system, particularly college affordability. According to a release about the visit, Portman has been working to help expand access to college; make it more affordable for students and their families; and help new graduates get good jobs to achieve financial independence and become debt-free.
