A threat written on a bathroom wall at Texas Tech University is being investigated by police, KCBD reported.
The message, which was found in Holden Hall, read: "I'm going to shoot up the school 10/5/18 11:00 a.m.," the Daily Toreador reported.
University police released a statement that said the department is reviewing building security video to determine if similar messages have been written, KCBD reported.
The person who wrote the message has not been identified, Chris Cook, managing director of the Office of Communications and Marketing, said in a statement.
"Security presence on campus will increase as TTPD operates under a heightened alert." the statement said.
