Taylor was sentenced to 30 months, and Ulrich was sentenced to three years with time served by Clark County Common Pleas Court Judge Douglas Rastatter.

The chief asked the couple where they got the snow sled, the affidavit says, and Taylor told the chief he had the sled for a while.
Later that day the chief spoke with a neighbor of Taylor’s and asked if he had checked his belongings recently, according to the affidavit.
“(The victim checked) the barn that would have contained the sled and discovered it had been broken into,” the affidavit said. “The barn siding was removed from the back section of the shed. (The victim) discovered many antiques and collectibles missing along with numerous firearms which were kept in a large safe. The loss of firearms alone will be over $100,000.”

The motive behind the crime was drugs, according to the affidavit.
“Both admit that Nicholas traded many of the guns for drugs and many of those guns will probably not be recoverable,” it says.
Both told police they have drug habits that have “spiraled out of control” and admitted to stealing the items and trading them for drugs, according to the court document.

The maximum sentence for the felony in the third degree was 34 months.
