80-year-old woman charged with DUI, accused of kicking officer in groin

An 80-year-old woman is accused of being drunk when she crashed her convertible and allegedly assaulted an investigating police officer, WPXI's news exchange partner TribLIVE reported.

Dorothy Stofko, of Penn Township, crashed her convertible into a neighbor’s fence Tuesday night, TribLIVE reported.

Stofko refused to cooperate with officers, swearing at them and punching one in the chest, according to court papers obtained by TribLIVE. She then allegedly kicked an officer in the groin while she was being placed in a patrol vehicle.

Stofko is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, driving under the influence and careless driving.
