Woman pulls her hair out to escape James Holmes jury

Several jurors have had unusual issues

The woman first showed up in court with a child she babysits. She told the judge the kid hadn’t been vaccinated for the measles and couldn’t go to school.

She was sent home but called back later in the week. When she returned, she began to cry, went to her knees and began tearing out her hair in large chunks, which was enough to get her excused from jury duty in the James Holmes mass shooting case.

This isn’t the only bizarre incident with potential jurors summoned for the high-profile trial. At least three prospects showed up after drinking or using drugs, and another was rushed to a hospital by ambulance after becoming very sick.

KCNC reports that despite all of the issues, potential jurors are expected to be questioned beginning next week in the case of Holmes, who is charged with shooting more than 80 people, killing 12, at a Colorado movie theater in July 2012.
