ALPINE, TEXAS —
The Alpine Independent School District placed all schools in lockdown Thursday morning after reports of an active shooter at Alpine High School.
The Brewster County Sheriff's Department confirmed the lockdown to KWES.
At least one student was injured, and the shooter is believed to be dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
