J.J. Watt shares kiss with Sully, George H.W, Bush's presidential service dog, on Texans' field

Watt, who has been sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle, connected with Sully, the former service dog of President George H.W. Bush, before the Texans' nationally televised game against the New England Patriots, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Watt petted Sully on the sidelines at NRG Stadium and gave him a kiss, the newspaper reported. The Labrador responded by licking Watts' face.

Sully tugged at hearts in December 2018 after a photo of the dog lying in front of the former president's casket went viral, KTRK reported. Bush died Nov. 30, 2018.

A statue of Sully will be unveiled Monday at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, the television station reported.

Watts stood on the sidelines during the game and watched his teammates defeat the Patriots, 28-22.
