Something unexpected happened after a police officer helped a distressed man off the edge of a bridge in North Carolina.
An officer was on his way home after finishing his day when he responded to a call about a man who was perilously hanging over the edge of a bridge over a busy North Carolina highway.
The man was apparently in distress but the police officer seemed to earn rapport through conversation. In the video captured by a traffic camera, the man can be seen helped off the edge by the officer.
Moments later, the two shake hands and the officer gives him a hug.
