A store owner is hoping to spark a movement by posting a simple sign in the window of his store, offering to help the hungry.
KLTV reports about two months ago, gas station owner Frank Hemani of Rains County Texas started offering a sandwich and a bottle of water to those who couldn’t afford it.
The sign in the window of his store reads, “If you don’t have money or a job you can have a sandwich and a bottle of water for free.”
He says its the least he can do to help.
“It’s just a couple of bucks, but somebody will not go to sleep hungry,” Hemani told KLTV.
He plans to do something similar at the other stores he owns. He hopes his stories inspires others.
“If more and more people start doing it, I think it’ll be one good thing for the whole world,” said Hemani.
