The Marquez family, of Albuquerque, consists of parents Jared and Britnee, a 6-year-old daughter and 15-month-old twin sons, KQRE-TV reported.

The twins were born seven weeks early, and doctors thought one twin, Ethan, wouldn't survive -- but he beat the odds. Ethan lived, but he was diagnosed with minimal kidney function and chronic kidney disease. He now needs a new kidney.

The Marquezes travel the country for Ethan’s medical care. It was during a trip that Jared Marquez came up with the idea to wear T-shirts advertising Ethan’s kidney search.

"We're going to be traveling through airports, traveling through a couple different cities. Why not wear a shirt that tells our story in a brief summary?” Jared Marquez said. “Maybe somewhere out there there's a hero, as I like to call them, that will see it and get in contact with us and essentially give a gift of life to our little boy."

The T-shirts are white with black text that says: “Son is needing a kidney. Looking for type O blood. @theprtyo5.”

"@theprtyo5" is the family's Instagram account. The family also posts about Ethan's journey on social media with the hashtag, #ThePrtyO5.

Anyone who thinks they may be a match for Ethan can contact the family at ThePrtyO5@gmail.com, or contact the Stanford Children's Health Pediatric Kidney Transplant program.
