Restaurant owner strangles customer after complaints over cold food

The owner of a Memphis, Tennessee, restaurant is in hot water, accused of strangling a customer after she complained about cold food.

The incident happened last week at Crumpy's Hot Wings.

The victim said she and Crumpy’s owner, Donald Crump, got into a verbal altercation over her cold food.

She then accused Crump of walking from behind the counter and putting his hands around her neck. She said the man proceeded to strangle her.

Four witnesses said the woman threw her food on the floor moments before the incident escalated.

Crump admitted to strangling the woman. The 61-year-old was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

He's now out of jail on bond.
