She was brought the the Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia with an upper respiratory infection. The infection was so bad that it spread to her eyes.

A worker at the shelter saved her from euthanasia.

Veterinarians had to remove both her eyes, so she is now completely blind.

She is being cared for by Sara and Erin, who say she is making an amazing recovery.

They say she recently started purring and is growing into a curious, playful kitten.

Better every day 🤗 Baby Braille is doing fantastic! She is officially off pain meds and is happy as can be. There are only trace amounts of any discharge at all from her infected eye. We are SO HAPPY! Here is a video displaying her amazing hunting skills. She is so curious about the other cats and can't wait to interact with them. She knows their scents, and as soon as those stitches come out we are going to let them "officially" meet.. Not just by accident, as seen in the last few seconds of this adorable video. Have a great night everyone, lots of head bonks and purrs from our family to yours
