According to USA Today, the "Megatron" rapper appeared to reveal that the pair had said "I do" in an Instagram post Monday night.
"Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty 10•21•19," the 36-year-old, using her real name, captioned a video of newlywed-themed mugs and hats.
Fans and famous friends, including singer Christina Aguilera and supermodel Naomi Campbell, shared well-wishes in the comments.
"Congrats queen!" wrote Aguilera, while Campbell chimed in, "Congratulations to you both on your beautiful Union."
The news came about two months after Minaj told "Queen Radio" listeners that she and Petty, 41, had obtained their marriage license, People magazine reported. She also has referred to him as her "husband" for several months.
Minaj's relationship with Petty, which began in 2018, has sparked controversy. According to USA Today, Petty is a registered sex offender and was convicted of manslaughter in 2006.
"Y'all can't run my life," she previously told critics in an Instagram comment, the newspaper reported. "Y'all can't even run y'all own life."
