According to WGRZ-TV, a judge sentenced Buffalo resident Anthony Lanier, 34, on Monday to 60 days in jail and three years' probation in connection with the December 2018 incident. Investigators said the then-Western New York Bus Co. employee used the boy's shoe to hit the face of the student, who has autism. The company later fired Lanier.
Earlier this year, Lanier, who was charged with attempting to endanger the welfare of an incompetent person, pleaded guilty in the case, WIVB-TV reported.
