It happened in Rock Harbor in Orleans, Massachusetts, according to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy.

The conservancy told CNN it was a great white.
It's not odd to see great whites in Cape Cod Bay. That's where they live during the summer. But those who are frequent the Cape Cod Bay beaches are being surprised at how many sharks have been seen --12 in one week in June -- and how close they're getting to people, CNN reported.
