A large sinkhole formed at a Mississippi restaurant Saturday, swallowing more than a dozen cars, local media outlets are reporting.
According to WTOK, customers at a new IHOP in Meridian heard loud booms and experienced a power outage before police were called about 7:15 p.m. Officials found a 50-foot-wide, 600-foot-long sinkhole with 15 vehicles inside.
Nobody was hurt in the incident, WLBT reports.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the sinkhole, but the area has been hit with almost 10 inches of rain in two weeks, WTOK reports.
