Montana woman charged with using machete to force man to have intercourse

A 19-year-old woman is charged with forcing her ex-boyfriend to have sex with her by threatening him with a machete, officials said.

Samantha Ray Mears allegedly broke into her ex-boyfriend's home while he was not there, prosecutors state. When he returned, Mears reportedly confronted him with the machete and ordered him on to the bed, KRTV reports.

Prosecutors allege that Mears forced the man to take off his clothes and had intercourse with him while still holding the machete.

The man told police he was too afraid to leave and she wouldn’t let him get off the bed.

Court documents allege that the two started arguing. Mears allegedly ripped the trimming off of the wall to cause damage to the bedroom, according to KTVQ.

She also reportedly bit him as he tried to escape.

The man finally escaped by pretending to call an acquaintance, but dialing 911 instead.

Mears has been charged with aggravated burglary and assault with a weapon, along with unlawful restraint.

She may also face additional charges, such as sexual intercourse without consent.

Prosecutors requested that Mears’ bond be set at $50,000.
