Massive fire destroys Full Throttle Saloon


A massive overnight fire destroyed what is billed as "The World's Largest Biker Bar."

The Full Throttle Saloon is a total loss, KELO reported.

The fire was first reported just after midnight local time, and first responders saw smoke coming from the main building's roof. The entire structure was fully aflame shortly after, with the blaze spreading to nearby buildings, KBHB reported.

Lack of water at the site forced firefighters to tender water, the radio station reported.

By 3 a.m. local time, the bar was burned to the ground, but luckily no one was hurt, KELO reported.

Fire crews continue to battle a blaze at the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis this morning.

The Full Throttle Saloon is owned by Michael Ballard, and the bar was featured on a television show, highlighted during the week-long Sturgis motorcycle rally.
