Police told WSB there were no signs of a shooting or that he took his own life. They are treating it as a homicide while they wait for an autopsy.

A store clerk told WSB he thinks the man was a regular customer. He was inside the station when the man's wife found him around 8 a.m.

Police said the man worked overnights and his wife became worried when she couldn't reach him.

"I was behind the counter and she came inside and (was) screaming, telling me, 'My husband died. Can you call someone? Can you call someone?'" the clerk, who didn't want to be identified, told WSB.

According to the clerk, the man was in the car with blood on his lower body, WSB reported.

The victim, a man in his 30s, has not been publicly identified.
