Update 7:19 a.m. EDT Oct. 31: Long Beach police are still searching for a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting at a Halloween party Tuesday night.
In a Wednesday news release, authorities described the gunman as a "male of unknown race wearing dark-colored clothing with his face concealed." Officials believe he left the area "in a dark-colored vehicle," the release said.
Three adult men died in the shooting, police said. Two other men and seven women, ranging from 20 to 49 years old, also were hurt, authorities said.
Original report: According to KABC-TV, the deadly shooting occurred at 10:44 p.m. PDT at a home near the intersection of Temple Avenue and Seventh Street.
The Long Beach Fire Department said three people were killed and nine others injured, KNBC-TV reported. The dead were all "men in their 20s," KABC reported.
Authorities, who have not made any arrests in the case, have not yet released a description of the suspects, according to KABC.
