Students at one North Carolina high school will not go hungry, thanks to a group of students who have created an on-campus food pantry.
A student government project at Washington High School is now a permanent resource available to any students in need, according to WJBF.
The pantry is kept stocked with non-perishable canned and boxed goods. Students can take what they need, no questions asked.
The pantry is not actively promoted to help keep its users' identity anonymous. But word-of-mouth has spread quickly.
The school also offers free school supplies and clothes to students in need.
