Georgia woman’s boyfriend declared dead after Brussels attacks

A Georgia woman who was desperate to hear from her boyfriend, who had been missing since the Brussels terror attacks has received the news no one wants to hear.

Bart Migom, a student at Howest University in Belgium, was declared dead after the attacks. Migom's father confirmed the devastating news for The Telegraph Friday morning.

"It’s been the worst days of my life," Emily Eisenman told CNN earlier this week.

Migom, 21, texted his girlfriend on the way to the airport, preparing to fly to Atlanta to visit her in Athens, Georgia.

"He did send me a message saying I'm on a train, you know, just excited to see me. And that was the last I heard of him."

The 21-year-old never arrived.

"These last two days have been something I never thought I would feel. I -- it's been the worst days of my life. I just -- I guess I didn't know how much one person can love another until you just don't know where they are at,” she said.

Migom's university in Bruges suspended classes after the attack and has offered counseling to students to help them cope with the emotional toll, The Telegraph reported.
