A school founded by iconic architect Frank Lloyd Wright will be closing after nearly 90 years.

The School of Architecture at Taliesin will close in June. School officials said they could not come to an agreement with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to keep the doors open, NBC News reported.

Wright created such famous properties like Fallingwater, which was built embracing the home's surrounding nature, blending into the environment. He also designed the famous Guggenheim Museum in New York, CNN reported.

Wright is considered one of the greatest modern architects, according to CNN.

The foundation claims the school did not have a sustainable business model and despite the plan to donate the use of the buildings to the school, the school's board of governors did not accept the plan, according to NBC News.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation plans on adding more educational programs for kids and professionals.

The School of Architecture was renamed in 2017 after it broke off from the foundation. It was originally called the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, CNN reported.
