Florida woman rescued after being swallowed by a tree

A woman in the Florida Keys found herself trapped after being swallowed by a tree on Sunday.

According to the KeysInfoNet, the unidentified woman decided to climb a multi-trunk banyan tree when she fell into a hole and became trapped inside the tree.

Firefighters responded to a call in which witnesses described a woman, at least 30 years old, trapped in the tree.

Fire Department officials say that it took seven minutes to break the woman free.

A witness told the Miami Herald that the woman explained that she climbed the tree because “It looked fun.”

The tree was said to be in fine condition following the incident.

The woman’s name was not released.
