Debbie Geddes was fishing with her husband when she hooked the unusual fish with two mouths, according to WPTZ-TV.

"Wow, look at this thing!" Geddes said when she first saw the odd fish, WPTZ reported
"This is crazy."

Geddes took a few pictures of the fish before releasing it back into the lake, then shared the photos with a colleague, the news station reported.

Her co-worker, Adam Facteau, posted the photos of the two-mouthed fish to social media.

"I've had messages from all over the world, like, people asking about this fish, and it seems like everybody's got an opinion on what is the cause of this fish having two mouths," Facteau said, according to WPTZ.

It’s unclear why the fish has two mouths, but some have speculated that a fish hook caused an injury resulting in the second mouth. Others wondered if the fish is related to Lake Champlain’s famous sea monster, named Champy.
