If you're wondering whether you may be pregnant, there's now an app for that. Bluetooth-enabled First Response Pregnancy PRO tests hit the shelves nationwide on Monday.
Church & Dwight, the company that makes First Response brand pregnancy tests, unveiled the company's high-tech test at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.
It works with the First Response app and provides “step-by-step assurance” and options aimed at reducing stress during the three minutes it takes for results, according to the company. The free app is available for Android and iOS devices.
“When seeking answers to her questions, millennial mothers turn to their smartphones,” said Stacey Feldman, vice president of marketing for Church & Dwight. “This is why First Response pioneered the first and only Bluetooth-enabled pregnancy test and app access, which instantly gives her the information she needs during her pregnancy journey on the device she's using most.”
Results from the pregnancy test will automatically sync to a user's mobile app. The app will then provide information, based on a person's choices, such as pregnancy fitness, milestones and suggested questions to ask a doctor.
The Bluetooth-enabled tests retail for between $14.99 and $21.99.
