Firefighters went above and beyond the call of duty to help a World War II veteran in Georgia.

The unidentified man’s home needed some extra care after they had responded to a call for assistance at the residence.

When they returned, they helped clean up the man's property, removing limbs and leaves from the roof, trimmed the hedges and edged the driveway, according to WDUN and a Facebook post from the department.
