A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 85 in Franklin County, Georgia, Saturday left seven people dead, inlcuding a 3-year-old.

The county coroner's office in Franklin County, Georgia, released the identities of seven people who were killed in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon.

Chris Years, 33, Ashley Years, 34, and Luna Years, 3, all of Paulding County died when the SUV they were traveling in hit a Ford Excursion. Alejandro Agis Perez, 53, Noe Gutierrez Cerna, 39, Oswaldo Hi Navarette, 25, and Eugenio Santoyo Serna, 36, were traveling in the Ford Excursion. They all were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the Ford Excursion was traveling north on I-85, when it crossed the median into oncoming traffic about 1:45 p.m.

The Excursion then struck the Chevrolet van heading in the opposite direction, causing a chain-reaction crash in the interstate’s southbound lanes, Georgia State Police said.

Three other children who were in the Ford were transported to the hospital. Their identities were not released, and their status is unknown.

Three other vehicles were also involved in the crash, but no other injuries were reported, state troopers said.

The crash is under investigation.
