A child was shot possibly by celebratory gunfire during a Fourth of July celebration Monday.
Investigators said a 9-year-old boy complained to his parents around 10 p.m. about something hitting his head.
When they got to the hospital, doctors realized the child had been shot. The boy was stabilized, and doctors said they will remove the bullet later.
Investigators do not know who fired the gunshots, but believe the child was hit during celebratory gunfire.
Police told FOX23 they would release more information later Tuesday.
