Charlotte police shooting: Protesters march in Charlotte for fourth night

Charlotte police refused under mounting pressure Thursday to release video to the public of the shooting of a black man, as the National Guard arrived to try to head off a third night of violence in this city on edge.

North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory declared a state of emergency Wednesday as a second night of violent protests following the fatal police shooting of 43-year-old Keith Lamont Scott.

On Tuesday, Scott was fatally shot by Charlotte police Officer Brentley Vinson, who is black. Officers said Scott was armed and posed a threat.
