Recording artist Prince, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member who won seven Grammy Awards and sold more than 100 million records, died Thursday, his publicist told the Associated Press.
He was found dead at his Paisley Park Estate recording studio in Chanhassen, Minneapolis.
Last week, Prince, 57, made an emergency landing after falling ill following a concert in Atlanta. He had been battling a bad case of the flu for weeks.
Fans and celebrities took to social media to honor and mourn the legendary singer.
