Cashews, red pepper strips recalled over possible glass contamination

Two products from two different companies are being pulled off store shelves for one reason: possible glass contamination.

Emerald 100 Calorie Pack Roasted & Salted Cashew Halves & Pieces are being recalled after the company received a customer complaint.

Snyder’s-Lance Inc., the company that makes the cashews, says the affected nuts have "best before" dates of several days in December 2016. Click here for a complete list of dates.

Customers who have purchased the recalled cashews can get a refund online by clicking here or by calling 503-364-0399 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Pacific time on weekdays.

In a separate recall, Roland Foods LLC is warning people to not consume certain cans of Fire Roasted Red Pepper Strips due to "the possible presence of glass fragments in the product." Click here to see a complete list of the affected UPC and production codes.

For more information or to obtain a replacement product, customers can visit the company's website or call 1-800-211-4030, ext. 222, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. ET Monday-Friday.

In both recalls, no injuries or illnesses have been reported.
