The update on the boy, who has only been identified by the first name Landen, was posted Thursday by his family to its GoFundMe page.
The child had more than 15 medical procedures to repair two broken arms, a broken leg, and fractures to his face and skull.
Doctors, according to the family, also removed the boy's spleen.
Emmanuel Aranda threw the boy from a third-floor balcony in April. The child landed 40-feet below, WCCO reported.
Aranda pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder in May and was sentenced in June to 19 years in prison, the "Today" show reported.
He told police that he went to the mall "looking for someone to kill" after he was turned down by women. Aranda told authorities that he was going to kill an adult but then chose a child, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.
More than $1 million has been raised for the boy's recovery, according to KSTP.
