A driver’s dashboard camera captured a bizarre incident in front of her where a woman slammed on the brakes of her car, then casually stepped out of the driver’s side as the car began moving again and crossed a center divider, crashing into oncoming traffic.
Two drivers of SUVs hit by the driverless car suffered minor injuries, according to a report.
The incident happened Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 1, and the video was uploaded to YouTube Friday night.
Note: The brakes are slammed at about the 40-second mark of the video.
The driver who slammed on the brakes and abandoned her Hyundai — Jasmine Lacey, 22, of San Bernardino, Calif. — was reportedly hospitalized and later arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.
Lacey was released from custody Saturday when it was determined there was insufficient evidence for further charges, according to the report.
